Kenogi has had a natural inclination towards singing and performing ever since he was a child, but here’s the plot twist: he was never a good singer.
As a result, he decided to take voice lessons with several vocal coaches, but no one could fix his singing problems until he discovered a revolutionary vocal technique known as “Speech Level Singing”, created by Seth Riggs, the singing teacher to superstars like Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand and Stevie Wonder to name a few.
Since then, he has won a singing competition, sang an NDP theme song, served NS as an artiste at the SAF Music & Drama Company where he sang and danced for military concerts, events, public roadshows and NDP.
Kenogi’s main expertise is in helping one sing in a free, natural and healthy manner, smoothly from the bottom of the vocal range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality. Training in this technique helps improve a singer’s range, endurance, stamina, breath control, resonance, vocal strength and vocal quality across all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice.
To bring more value to his students, he continually searches for and develops himself with a multitude of vocal training knowledge, and is currently working towards a teacher certification by the renowned Institute for Vocal Advancement (IVA), which he expects to get by the end of the year.
