Student Spotlight - Sophie Teo

At MADDspace, we provide a variety of classes for several age groups starting from a tender age of 3 years old! This is because we believe that one's love for MADD (Music, Art, Drama and Dance) can be cultivated from young so that they learn to appreciate the Performing Arts. There are also many benefits of the Performing Arts that are proven to positively impact your child. In this post, we have Sophie Teo, a bright young individual who loves to perform!

Fun fact: Our Director Mr John Khoo once heard Sophie singing a solo line of True Colours back in one of our recitals and immediately ran into the theatre asking where that voice came from.

"Wow, this girl, with that voice is going to have a bright future ahead", said Mr Khoo back then.

Since then, Sophie has not looked back. She was one of the youngest members to be promoted to the Singapore Children's Concert Show Choir and also excelled in B-dazzled Music & Dance Festival, where she won a Diamond Award (Gold equivalent) despite competing with participants who were older than her.

Let us read on further to hear what Sophie has to say about her journey in the Performing Arts with MADDspace.
